If you intend to use SSH you can enable it by re-inserting the SD card in your PC and creating a blank text file named “ssh”. Step 3 – Enable SSH (optional)īy default SSH is disabled on the Raspbian image. Once written and verified Etcher will unmount the card so it can be removed from the PC immediately. There are a number of pre-created SD card images you use in your Pi. I recommend using SD cards with a capacity of 8GB and higher. Starting with a clean installation is important if you’ve got any issues or are starting a new hardware project.
